Additional aspects of the project include:

* Overall management and development of the EIA document, including oversight of the various baseline environmental assessment

* Development of impact analysis including a detailed geochemical assessment of mine waste materials; hydrogeologic modeling; geochemical modeling of surface water quality and post-closure pit lake water quality; air quality modeling, and noise modeling.

* Development of the Environmental Management Plan including a waste rock management plan for acid rock drainage mitigation, a soil management plan, and an environmental monitoring plan.

* Technical and environmental assistance for Wheaton River during an independent due diligence review for project financing.

* The project has been developed to meet the requirements of Costa Rican environmental policy and World Bank environmental guidelines. Standard North American mining industry requirements were used as basis for project design.
